Washington, D.C. April 15, 2011. Financial Education & Literacy Advisers (FELA) and Touch.Nology today announced the introduction of a patent pending Financial Wellness Kit, which is designed to improve the efficacy of financial education initiatives by bridging the gap between information delivery and motivating people to improve their financial behaviors. Based on proven scientific principles of neuroplasticity, the Financial Wellness Kits are intended to help individuals develop 'financial resiliency' to empower, motivate, and inspire them to improve their 'relationship' with money based on their experiences.

"One of the greatest challenges in the financial education community is finding ways to motivate people to become engaged in improving their financial health as well as helping others to put what they have learned into action," says FELA CEO & President, Blake Allison. "We are truly excited to be working in concert with Touch.Nology to bring to bear an important piece of the puzzle to encourage positive financial behaviors and to help people make informed financial decisions while they work towards long-term financial security."

The FELA/Touch.Nology Financial Wellness Kits are an integrated series of educational and motivational tools that include: an 'In Action' activity book, Prosperity Journal, calendar to assist with financial organization, Prosperity Cards, and Gratitude Cards. The printed materials included in the kits were developed on principles of neuroplasticity, which refers to the ability of the brain to change as a result of one's experiences, and the inspirational and personal story of Touch.Nology's founder and Chief Creative Officer, Janine Wilburn.

"I know that if a doctor told you, 'you would will be paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of your life' as I was once told, and I can overcome that adversity and turn that experience into a positive one ,then everyone should have the opportunity to do the same in their life." says Wilburn. "We are so happy to have collaborated with FELA to create a resiliency kit on financial wellness that can provide so many people with the much needed inspiration and confidence they need to start working towards improved financial health and personal prosperity."

Allison added, "We look forward to enhancing our workplace financial education programs and community based initiatives with the financial wellness kits while building on Touch.Nology's incredible success serving our military, veterans, and their families."
